Beauty in everything...

While we were in Fairview visiting my grandparents and doing numerous photo shoots, we visited the family cemetary before we left. I have had this idea in my head for awhile now about doing a photo shoot with L at a cemetary...just another one of my crazy, artistic visions that won't leave my head until I do it. I thought, what better place to do it than Fairview, where many of our family members are buried? Plus, it is a beautiful place. Now, I have received mixed reviews about this shoot...sometimes people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them about it, but for the most part, people think it's a cool idea. So, you can decide for yourselves...just be nice about it! Art is subjective, and not everyone feels the same way about it...but I think these are the most beautiful pictures in the world.

Hello, handsome...

These are a few shots I took of my handsome hubby while visiting our family's horse ranch in Fairview, Utah last weekend. There are so many beautiful places and interesting structures in this little farm town...I have been dying to shoot there. Leake-a-palooza

So, we have an awesome thing that we do at our house on the weekends. Sometimes. When we get bored. We all love music in our household, and sometimes there is only one thing to do about it....DANCE. And last Friday night, let me tell you, we did. This is what little L likes to call "Dance Party." We crank up the tunes, put on some crazy outfits, and we dance, dance, dance. It is one of my favorite things to do...if you could only see L and her dance moves, you would understand why this is so fun and entertaining for us. So, you should drop by sometime, unexpectedly, on a Friday night, and join the hottest club in town...........YEEEEAAAAH!!! Oh, and by the way, L is wearing toe socks. MY toe socks. :)


 
 
 
 

Daddy/Daughter Days

I was going through the pictures on my husband's camera the other day and came across the most adorable pictures....When I was in Las Vegas a few weeks back for the photoshoot, Jaron took L to do some fun activities to keep her busy! He took her to the zoo and even took her golfing with him...too cute. I knew that he had done this, but didn't know there was evidence! I'm so happy that he took these pictures...

And if that much music wasn't enough....

After the concert, we made our way to The Hotel downtown to hear more of my favorite music! If you know me well, then you know I LOOOOOVE House music. Can't get enough of it. I listen to it everywhere...in my house, my car, my head... :) While it annoys most people to listen to it all the time, it never annoys me. Ever. So, my fave DJ happened to be in town the same night as the Journey/Heart concert...he comes up to SLC once a month from Vegas. So after the concert, we booked it to the club. It was a late night, but let me tell ya....I was in music heaven.

Craaaazy on you!

All I can say is, WOW. That was the BEST concert I have been to yet. If you missed it, I really feel sorry for you. :) An amazing night of my favorite music with my hubby, my friends (Jason and Katie), and my Mama! It started out with a little Cheap Trick (I waaaant you to want me, I neeeeed you to need me), followed by a great set by Heart (Let me go craaaazy, craaazy on yoooou), and then ended with my all time fave....Journey (Dooon't stop, beliiiieven, hold on to that feeeelin). The new lead singer of Journey is a Filipino guy named Arnel Pineda that the band found on You Tube. And let me tell you, he sounds EXACTLY like Steve Perry. I mean EXACTLY. The whole concert was amazing. My honey love bought me a Heart tank top (since I already had a Journey t-shirt) and I managed to rock out with them both on at the same time. And I must warn you about the pics below: I was in total rocker mode, and when that happens, I like to stick out my tongue like I truly am a bada** rockstar. Really, in 90% of the pictures from that night, my tongue is out. So, I apologize in advance for the repetition. :)

It's Heeeerrre!

I know you are probably sick of hearing about this, but you must understand its meaning to me in full appreciation. I have wanted this week to pass as quickly as possible to get to today...and I could not sleep last night because I was so excited. I am worse than a child at Christmas. But this is the music that LIVES in me. My absolute two favorite bands that exist in this world. Coming together. To Salt Lake City. And the day is finally here. You better believe I will be rockin' it out tonight.

Attention! Looking for models in SLC!

Another photoshoot is in the works!

My sister (the talented make-up artist) is flying in from Las Vegas the weekend of July 25-27 and we are looking for models to shoot!

We will be doing two photoshoots: Bridal and Pinup. Each individual session will last about two hours and we will provide you with lunch. Because we are shooting for our portfolio's, we cannot pay you...however, you will receive a CD with all of your photos. This is a great way to get some professional photos taken of you for free! We always have a lot of fun doing these shoots and promise to make it as painless as possible...

Meet Jen!

Jen is the other pregnant model I shot while in Las Vegas. As you can see, she was about ready to pop! I shot her a week before she was due...and good news! Little baby Ryder was born on the 4th of July! Congratulations Jen!
